Bengaluru Airport withdraws new parking fee structure hours after notification

New Delhi. Hours after issuing the notification for the new fee structure that mandated private and commercial vehicles to pay a certain amount to enter the airport premises, revoked by the Bengaluru airport authorities.

The notice said that starting on Monday, flights to and from Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport would cost more. For seven to fourteen minutes, private vehicles (whiteboard) will have to pay a cost of up to Rs 150. For private vehicles, any time less than seven minutes would not be billed.

Whereas, taxis and other commercial vehicles have to pay an admission fee of Rs 150 for a maximum of seven minutes. If these cars took more than seven minutes, the fee would rise to Rs 300.

The entrance price for buses would be Rs 600, and the fee for tempo travelers would be Rs 300. Unattended cars and those left more than fifteen minutes would be towed to the closest police station, according to the newly erected charge board at the airport.
