How to Do a Hair Spa at Home

Apply oil in your hair

It is very important to apply oil to the hair to keep it hydrated and soft. In such a situation, first apply oil on the hair for SP. With this your hair gets vitamins and minerals. In such a situation, while applying oil, massage the scalp and keep the oil applied for 20 minutes.

Steam your hair 

In the second step, steam your hair for 10 to 15 minutes. This opens the pores of the scalp which get clogged due to accumulated dirt. Besides, it improves blood circulation, which proves helpful in hair growth. Be careful not to steam excessively. This can also damage your hair.

Apply conditioner

Lastly, wash the hair with mild shampoo. After this, apply conditioner on your hair, it helps in maintaining moisture. You can do hair spa once in a month.

Shampoo 

Now wash hair in the third step. It would be better if you use mild shampoo for this. Just keep in mind that do not use excessive shampoo as it dries your hair. Apple cider vinegar for washing your hair. You can also use sago starch, henna or rice water.

Use hair masks

Hair masks work to nourish and soften your hair. It can also prove helpful in reducing split ends. In such a situation, you can also make hair mask at home with natural things. You can make a hair mask of aloe vera and coconut oil, banana and honey and curd and fenugreek and apply it on your hair.

After steaming, gently shampoo your hair with a mild cleanser to remove the oil. Follow with a nourishing conditioner, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends. Rinse thoroughly with cool water to lock in shine.

Deep Conditioning Mask

The star of the show! Apply a generous amount of hair mask, either store-bought or DIY (see below for some ideas!), focusing on the driest parts of your hair. Wear a shower cap for extra heat penetration, and leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with cool water.

  • For Dry Hair: Mash a ripe banana with 1 tablespoon of honey and 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
  • For Damaged Hair: Mix 1 egg with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of yogurt.
  • For Oily Hair: Combine 2 tablespoons of yogurt with 1 tablespoon of honey and a squeeze of lemon juice.
