Dalit leader and BSP candidate from Hoshiarpur Rakesh Soman joined the AAP

Hoshiarpur. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) got a big boost in the Doaba region on Wednesday. Giving the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) a massive setback, well-known Dalit leader of Doaba and BSP's candidate from Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha, Rakesh Soman joined the Aam Aadmi Party.

AAP Punjab President and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann formally inducted Rakesh Soman into the party and welcomed him into the AAP family.

Rakesh Soman was a senior leader of BSP. He has also been the General Secretary of the Punjab Congress Committee. He has a good hold and popularity among the Dalit people of Hoshiarpur and surrounding areas, leaving the party is a jolt to the BSP and his presence is going to be very helpful to AAP in Hoshiarpur.

After joining the Aam Aadmi Party, Rakesh Soman said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is doing a lot of good work for the poor, Dalits and marginalized communities. Impressed by his work of the last two years, I decided to join the Aam Aadmi Party. Providing good education and health facilities to the poor is a very noble work and the Mann government is continuously taking decisions for the betterment of every section of the society.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that the Aam Aadmi Party government is continuously working for the common people. In the last two years, we have done historic work for the people of Punjab. We have built about 829 Aam Aadmi Clinics for the treatment of common people and are building Schools of Eminence for the education of poor children. He said that our upgraded schools have better facilities than private schools.

We made 300 units of electricity free every month for the people of Punjab. Today, about 90 percent of the households in the state are getting zero electricity bills. He said that we are asking for votes from the people of Punjab on the basis of our work, and we are getting full support from the people. The people of Punjab are very excited to make the Aam Aadmi Party win in these LS polls too.
