Indigo Bomb threat, the runway has been closed as a safety precaution

New Delhi. IndiGo flight 6E 5314 operating from Chennai to Mumbai received a bomb threat on Saturday morning. According to the sources, the flight took off from Chennai at 7 am and landed in Mumbai at around 8:45 am.

Upon landing in Mumbai, the crew followed protocol and the aircraft was taken to an isolation bay as per security agency guidelines. All passengers have safely disembarked the aircraft. The aircraft is currently undergoing inspection. Post completion of all security checks, the aircraft will be positioned back in the terminal area, as per the official press release.

Meanwhile, the runway has been closed as a safety precaution.

Notably, this is not the first time that past series of bomb threats were received by several airlines, which created disappointment among people. In the recent incident on Friday, Air Vistara's Delhi -Srinagar flight received a bomb threat; the flight was carrying 177 passengers. The flight originated from Delhi and landed safely in Srinagar at around 12:10 am.
