Landslide in Arunachal Pradesh Cuts Off Road Link to China
New Delhi. A significant landslide has severed road access in Arunchal Pradesh's Dibang Valley, a region bordering China. The incident occured on National Highway-33 between the towns of Hunli and Anini.

Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu said that this highway connects Dibang Valley to the entire country, hence instructions have been given to the officials to establish the connection immediately.
Restore connectivity at earliest
According to officials, Dibang Valley has been receiving heavy rains for the last several days. A large part of Highway 33 between Hunli and Anini has collapsed in the land slide. Instructions have been issued to restore the connectivity at the earliest as this road connects Dibang Valley to rest of the country.
Officials said that there is no shortage of food and other essential items right now. NH-33 is considered the lifeline for the residents of Dibang Valley and the Army.
