Sunita Kejriwal as Star Campaigner for AAP in Punjab, Urges Strong Opposition to BJP
Chandigarh. Sunita Kejriwal, the wife of Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal, has taken on a prominent role as the party's star campaigner. On Wednesday, she met with AAP candidates from Jalandhar and Ludhiana parliamentary constituencies, as well as MLAs from the assembly constituencies under these two Lok Sabha seats in Delhi.
During her interactions with AAP Ludhiana candidate Ashok Pappi Parashar and Jalandhar candidate Pawan Kumar Tinu, along with MLAs from their respective constituencies, Sunita emphasized the importance of unity and urged them to put up a robust fight to strengthen the AAP and counter the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
“She stressed the significance of every party worker and encouraged us to ensure a strong fight,” a party insider shared.
Additionally, Sunita advised the MLAs from Jalandhar to support Tinu, despite his history as a turncoat, highlighting the need to field winnable candidates in the current political scenario.
As AAP's star campaigner, Sunita Kejriwal is expected to visit Punjab in the upcoming days to spearhead the party's campaign and rally support for its candidates.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has summoned all 13 AAP candidates for a meeting at Mohali Club on Thursday. The gathering will also serve as a show of strength, with MLAs instructed to mobilize 100 supporters each for the Chief Minister’s meeting.
