WhatsApp: Manage Your Inbox Even with High Volume Messages

New Delhi. WhatsApp is poised to introduce a new feature aimed at helping users manage their incoming messages more effectively. This update, particularly advantageous for those inundated with messages throughout the day, is currently in the development phase and has been observed in the Android beta version.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, the new feature will facilitate efficient handling of incoming messages. Select users have already begun receiving this feature in the WhatsApp Android beta version 2.24.11.13, though it has only been rolled out to a limited audience. The report indicates that this feature can be accessed via the notification settings.

Additional Features in Development

Beyond this feature, Meta's instant messaging app is introducing several other new features to enhance user experience. These features are currently in the beta phase and are expected to be available in the stable version soon. Significant changes to the WhatsApp user interface are also anticipated.

Meanwhile, the WhatsApp status section is continually being updated with various new features to make it more engaging. Recently, it was reported that WhatsApp introduced a feature allowing users to privately mention contacts in their status updates. Now, further updates are being developed to make status updates more interesting. According to the latest information, the platform will soon enable users to see the people mentioned in their status updates.

These updates reflect WhatsApp's ongoing efforts to improve user experience by adding new functionalities and enhancing existing ones.

Enhanced Notification Settings

Screenshots from the report reveal that users will find a new option in the settings for managing notifications. This will include options for High Priority notifications, Reaction notifications, and the ability to clear unread message counts after opening the app, allowing users to remove the unread message count from the app.

This feature will be particularly beneficial for users who receive numerous messages daily, making it challenging to read and manage all of them. Once enabled, the unread message count will disappear as soon as users enter the Chats section after opening WhatsApp.
