Bride Calls Off Wedding Mid-Ceremony in Kanpur After Fourth Phera: Here's Why

Kanpur: Brides in Uttar Pradesh are getting bolder and more demanding. In past few years, brides have turned away their groom because either he came 'drunk' or was 'bald'. Now, a bride has refused to marry because the groom came with a wedding procession accompanied by musical instruments.

The wedding guests danced vigorously on the DJ. After the Jayamala ceremony came the turn of the pheras. Meanwhile, while taking the fourth phera with the groom, the bride suddenly refused to marry. People from both sides tried to convince her a lot to the bride but she did not budge. Despite efforts, the groom had to return with the wedding procession without the bride. The bride reminded the groom of his mistake and the groom also kept listening silently.

According to the information, a family living in a village of Chaubepur police station area had fixed the marriage of their daughter in Rura village. Baby shower and Tilakotsav programs had already taken place. The wedding was on Tuesday 23rd April. The groom reached the bride's door with a procession accompanied by musical instruments.

Both parties reach Police station

Both parties reached the Chobepur Police Station, where police facilitated discussions between elders from both sides. Following this, both parties returned exchanged gifts and peacefully returned to their village after reaching a written agreement.

So, what was the reason?

The girl's family gave a warm welcome to all the wedding guests. Then the Jaimala ritual was performed where the bride and groom garlanded each other. Everything was going well. Meanwhile the rounds started. After three rounds the bride suddenly became upset. She opened the knot and said that she will not marry. The bride made a shocking revelation in front of the people present there. She said that 'I had already told the groom over the phone not to bring the wedding procession.'
